Who are the Burgers?

Who are Burgers of Beef? One thing’s for sure, they are not members of the WA Meat Boards advisory committee.

Burgers of Beef have been keeping it real since 2001. Originally consisting of Blainie (bass), Dee (drums) and Chad (guitar), this eclectic bunch was once described by an outside party as being a good match of people, as they are all “funny looking”.

Whilst at first the band explored the musical styles of new-wave, hootenanny and symphonic metal they eventually settled on thrash cabaret songs with an average length of one and a half minutes.

The name Burgers of Beef was derived from an amusing supermarket incident involving a food product that unfortunately cannot be printed here. It was decided upon seconds before an appearance on Kalamunda Community Radio and kept only because of the bands complete inability to think of anything else. Now it’s just too bloody late.

Not long after the star studded KCR performance the Burgers acquired the services of master trombone player and synthesiser technician Pete who stepped in to fill the tall, red-haired, Yuncken sized void that all knew existed. His presence also increases Burger appeal to the juggling community, whom the Burgers consider to be a small, but important, demographic.

So now be warned, as the juggernaut that is Burgers of Beef has lifted off the ground like the proverbial flatulant peacock, and world domination is only a matter of time…
